Rainbow Honey - Sea Star

So I may be a little late with this one since Sea Star was released a while ago, but I finally used it and I am in love with it! Sea Star was released as the monthly limited edition from Rainbow Honey, so naturally I had to order it as soon as it was released. But the good news: it's still currently available!

Since Sea Star is a glitter topcoat, I decided to pair it with a couple other Rainbow Honey polishes. I applied Sea Star over Tayabak, and then used Trifolium as an accent. I love how Trifolium has a bit of flakie shimmer to it, so it's not competing with Sea Star but still complements it nicely!

As for Sea Star itself, it's a clear base filled with all sorts of shimmer and glitter. It has a lot of various light blue and green glitter, in large hexagons, circles, and even squares. There's some micro glitter to help fill in the negative space, and best of all, some coral star glitter!

I used two coats of Tayabak, though it covers in pretty much one coat! But for full coverage I used two, and then applied a generous coat of Sea Star over it.  I used two coats of Trifolium for the accent nail as well. All nails were topped with Seche Vite.

I had some of these cute seashell studs from a previous Rainbow Honey mystery bag, so I finally put them to use too! I added one to my ring finger nail and one to my thumb nail, directly into the wet topcoat (Seche Vite). I went back and added a little more around them, and they adhered nicely! They stayed on for almost a week.

If you would like to purchase Sea Star, you can find it on rainbowhoney.com for $10! I highly recommend it. http://www.rainbowhoney.com/products/1-sea-star
