Influenster - J'adore VoxBox

For the past few weeks, I've been playing around with some items that I received, courtesy of Influenster. The box I received is the J'adore VoxBox, and contains some special Valentine's Day related goodies. I received my box a little late though, and also wanted to spend plenty of time to actually use the products, so I'm posting a little late!

My J'adore VoxBox contained the following items:

  • Kiss - Looks So Natural Lashes ($3.99)
  • Red Rose - Simply Indulgent Teas ($4.49 / 20 bags)
  • Boots Botanics - Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask ($9.39)
  • Frizz Ease - 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray ($9.99 / 3.5 fl oz)
  • Hershey's Kisses - Milk Chocolates ($5.29 / 18.5 oz bag)

Kiss - Looks So Natural Lashes ($3.99)
I don't typically wear false lashes since my natural lashes are pretty thick and long, but I gave these a shot. I've worn false lashes a few times before, so I'm no expert with them. However, these were super easy to apply and get the hang of.

Application was alright. The lashes come with some lash glue or adhesive. It isn't the easiest to apply since it has a stick applicator instead of being in a small squeeze tube or brush on, but it was workable. The lashes themselves even had some mild adhesive already on them from where they were stuck in the packaging, so they didn't require too much extra to apply.

The lashes themselves are pretty impressive. They are very soft and look and feel much more natural than some other false lashes. The ends are tapered so they look very real. The strips were also more than long enough to fit across my eyes, so I had to nip off a bit to make them fit. The lashes are a little long though!

Red Rose - Simply Indulgent Teas ($4.49 / 20 bags)
I was intrigued by these tea bags, as it's a brand I've never actually tried before. I've been getting more into various types of coffee and tea, so I was pretty excited to try something new! I prepared each of these ones at home with hot water from my Keurig. I received four bags: three Creme Caramel, and one Lemon Chiffon.

As per the instructions, I let each tea bag steep for about five minutes. Since I got three bags of the Creme Caramel flavor, I tried preparing it a few different ways. I drank the first "normal" with nothing added into it, and it was quite good. The flavor wasn't too strong, but it was indeed caramel was nice. The second I added some milk into, which the package also suggests trying. It made it much smoother, though the taste was about the same as it was without the milk.

The lemon chiffon one was great. There was only one bag, so I tried it without honey at first, but then added a bit after. It was delicious either way! I thought I'd prefer the caramel one over the lemon, but I actually liked this one more. It was great without honey, and even more amazing with an added bit of sweetness.

Boots Botanics - Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask ($9.39)
I'm always interested in trying new face masks and various facial scrubs and the like, so this product piqued my interest. This clay mask is designed for normal skin to help absorb excess oil and deeply cleanse skin without overdrying. It has a hypoallergenic formula and is unscented to avoid any irritation.

The mask says to use it once weekly, so I did just that. I applied it and left it on for 10 minutes at a time. The clay squeezes out of the tube easily, as it isn't too thick. It's much thinner than most masks I've tried, so it was easy to work with and smooth out. The product itself is gray, which you can see at the top of the tube.

After using the mask, my skin did feel softer. It also says it helps fight acne, and I did notice that my face was a little clearer after a couple weeks. I had no irritation from it, and it actually felt quite soothing. Upon drying after 10 minutes, it rinsed off easily.

Frizz Ease - 3-Day Straight Flat Iron Spray ($9.99 / 3.5 fl oz)
Being someone who has very thick, coarse, unruly hair, I'm all for trying products meant to help tame it. This Frizz Ease flat iron spray promises to help keep hair super flat for three days, or until you wash your hair next. Living in humid Florida, keeping my hair relatively straight for more than 12 hours can be a challenge, so I took up their challenge.

I typically don't wash my hair daily since it dries out too much, but I try to at least every other day. So I used the flat iron spray as directed (applying to damp or wet hair, not to dry hair) and then went about my usual business for a couple days. Between sleeping on it and dealing with the Florida humidity, it actually fared quite well. My hair stayed frizz-free, and stayed relatively straight. Since my hair is very wavy, if not curly, I was surprised since it normally starts to revert back to being wavy. While it wasn't exactly stick-straight by the end of the second day, it definitely kept the frizz in check and kept my hair looking more than presentable.

Hershey's Kisses - Milk Chocolates ($5.29 / 18.5 oz bag)
Let's be honest - Hershey's Kisses are pretty legendary, and you've probably had some before. If you haven't had the Kisses in particular, you've probably had a Hershey's bar. And if you haven't had either, then what are you waiting for?!

Hershey's chocolate is a classic. It's an affordable indulgence that you can get just about anywhere. I love their Kisses since they're individually wrapped and make a perfect quick snack. They often come in festive colored wrappers for various holidays, such as the red, pink, and silver ones for Valentine's Day. They look adorable in candy dishes for any holiday, or the classic silver ones look great all year long.

As for the chocolate, I received a family size bag of classic milk chocolate Kisses, so I had plenty to try out. To be honest, I hadn't had Hershey's chocolate in a while, and this was a great reminder of how good it is. The chocolate melts in your mouth and is a quick way to have a little something that's sweet, and have a little smile along with it. I'll be indulging in many more after this too!

In general, I'm satisfied with all of the products I was sent from Influenster. If anything, the products exceeded my expectations, especially the Red Rose tea, Frizz Ease flat iron spray, and even the Hershey's Kisses. I'll definitely be using the Frizz Ease to fight frizz all summer, and indulge in some Red Rose tea!
