Rainbow Honey Selections

It's been quiet around here again! I've been very busy between moving, the holidays, finding a new job, and plenty of other exciting things, so I've barely had time to do my nails!

But I was sent some beautiful samples from Rainbow Honey to share with you all, so I had to make some time to try them out! I'm glad I did, because they're all simply stunning. So let's get started!

Products sent for review. All opinions are my own.

First up we have The Kracken. This one is part of Rainbow Honey's The Summer of 199X collection. It is amazing, and the color is truly stunning in person. It's such a bright cyan, and it's also a bit of a jelly so it has depth to it. I only used two generous coats and got amazing coverage for a jelly! But you can still appreciate the depth of it with all the chunky gold and blue glitters inside.

Next up we have Magic Cake, which is a glitter topper also from The Summer of 199X collection. I showed Magic Cake over a couple other Rainbow Honey polishes, Mint Flavor and Be Mine, to show how it looks over a couple different colors.

The base has a slight shimmer to it, but it isn't very intense. The glitters inside are matte neon glitters in large pink hexes, medium green and pink squares, and smaller blue hexes. I love this combination! It really pops against almost any base color though - even black and gray!

This next one is a special one - it's called Papillon, and it's a glitter topper from a soon-to-be-released collection from Rainbow Honey. I applied one generous coat of Papillon over Rainbow Honey's Believe in Pink, and I think it's stunning!

While Believe in Pink is shimmery on its own, Papillon added even more. The base has a bit of shimmer to it, and it contains various pinkish metallic glitters - including holographic butterfly-shaped glitters! I can't get over how cute these glitters are. The distribution of the glitter was perfect, as I didn't get too little and I didn't get too much. I also easily got some butterflies out and on my nails.

Sweet Talk is a polish that has made a comeback with Rainbow Honey. This one was released last year for Valentine's Day, but it's back in case you missed it! This one is certainly sweet - the crelly white base filled with bright matte glitters really makes me think of candy.

Sweet Talk contains purple, red, and light blue hexes in a couple different sizes. It's interesting how the white crelly base also makes the glitters appear lighter and more pastel in some spots. For a crelly, it also applied and covered very well. I applied two generous coats of Sweet Talk and had no issues.

XOXO is another polish that Rainbow Honey released last year for Valentine's Day. If you missed this one, it is also available again as part of the Sweet Talk collection! This one is simple but is one of my favorites from the collection. It is a shimmery base filled with gold and deep magenta glitter, along with some little holographic flecks as well. It isn't too chunky, and it catches the light in an amazing way. I applied one coat of XOXO over two coats of Be Mine. I love it! This is going to be my Valentine's Day manicure for sure.

If you would like to purchase any of these polishes, browse Rainbow Honey's website at rainbowhoney.com - they have plenty of gorgeous collections and polishes! Each full size polish is $10. If you decide to order, don't forget to use promo code ILOVENAILBLOGS for $5 off your order! Promo code expires March 31, 2013.

Rainbow Honey is honestly one of my favorite indie polish companies because they never cease to amaze me with their gorgeous color selections, product quality, customer service, and even how everything comes packaged and wrapped up! It's like receiving an adorable gift every time. I have bought several of their collections with my own funds and I have never been disappointed!
