B&W Nail Art Challenge - Faux Fur: Animal Theme

We're almost done with this challenge already! It went by so fast. Today's theme is one that I was looking forward to. I love animal print and haven't painted some in a while, so I thought this was perfect!

I don't really know if it's zebra print or white tiger stripes since they look about the same. I guess I'll call them zebra stripes though! I was considering doing stripes like this for freehand-for-all day, but then I wouldn't have known what to do for today's faux fur theme!

I started off by painting all  nails with two coats of China Glaze White on White. I then took a black nail art polish and carefully freehanded some stripes on each nail, starting from the outer edges and lifting the brush up toward the center of the nail.

I'm really happy with how they turned out! I waited a long time for the black to dry before applying my topcoat, but unfortunately it still smeared a little though. Oh well, it makes it look more stringy and furry this way!

If I were to change anything, I probably would have done an accent nail in black and white leopard print, though I'm not sure how well that would mesh with the zebra stripes. It seems a little plain as just black and white stripes, but I still like it!

  2. The smeared nails are like you just petted the fur, so it's ok :D
