White Owl Lacquers - Vintage Roses

Yay, it's Friday! I'm so excited for the weekend. I'm also excited to be trying out an indie brand that is new to me - White Owl Lacquers. I ordered my first polishes from her last month and finally got around to trying one, Vintage Roses.

Vintage Roses is a beautiful polish. It's really pretty without being too bold. The base is a nude crelly and it has a very subtle pinkish shimmer if you look closely. The glitters are also a gorgeous combination of light pink dots, rosy pink hexes, teal squares, and mint hexes.

For being a very light colored polish, Vintage Roses covers well. The first coat was very sheer and didn't really show, so I applied a second coat and it became much more opaque. It looked great with two, but I added a third just so I could get some more depth with the glitter in the layers below.

I think the colors are perfect for a name like Vintage Roses. The nude base isn't too flashy and the rosy pinks and mint really say "vintage flowers" to me. It's so gorgeous without being overdone, and it's a nice change from very bright or glitter filled polishes.

If you would like to purchase polishes from White Owl Lacquers, check out her website at http://www.whiteowllacquers.com/. Unfortunately the website is vacation mode as I write this, so be sure to follow White Owl Lacquers on Facebook for updates on when the shop will open next! Full size polishes sell for $9 each.

  1. This is a great polish! It really has that vintage feel to it with the dirty yellow base! Fabulous swatches! :)
