Zoya - Stunning Collection 2013

Products sent for consideration. All opinions are my own.

Along with the Summer PixieDusts, Zoya has some other wonderful summer collections coming out. I know last year I was very excited about the Beach and Surf collections, so I was really eager to see what this summer's collections would be like!

This collection is called the Stunning Collection. The collection looks like a set of six cremes at first glance, but up close most of them actually have a hint of shimmer. It's very subtle though, so these would still be considered cremes to me. I love cremes though, so I was really excited to try them out!

First up is Yana. This was interesting for my camera to try and capture - you can see the color of my skin looks a bit off. At least it just about got Yana right! Yana is a bright magenta creme. It has a very subtle shimmer to it. This one is the darker pink in the set, but is still very bright and summery.

Micky is another beautiful shade, but my camera struggled a bit with it too! It seems to have the most trouble with pinks for some reason. Micky is a light bubblegum pink shade. These photos make it look like it's more coral, but in person it is very pink. I would almost call this one a Barbie pink! Micky has some subtle shimmer up close too.

Thandie is a beautiful shade of orange. I was never really a fan of orange polish until I found the shades that Zoya makes. Arizona is one of my favorite oranges, and this one reminds me of it but with some slight shimmer to it. Thandie is a bright orange but also has a hint of coral to it. This one might be my favorite out of the six!

Being the lightest of the bunch, Darcy gave me a bit of trouble. It was a little streaky, but not too terrible. I used three coats to even it out with no topcoat. I love the color though. I have Zoya Creamy which is similar, but Darcy has the slight shimmer that the others above have. I'm really loving yellow for this season, so I can't wait to pair it with some summer fashion or swimsuits!

Unlike the others, Josie has no subtle shimmer. This one is a full-on creme. Josie is somewhat of a grassy green. It is bright, yet subdued at the same time. It is a very interesting shade of green in my collection, as I don't really have anything else to compare it to!

Rocky is surprisingly unique as well. Like Josie, it has no shimmer and is a true flat creme. I thought that Rocky may be similar to colors like Zoya Yummy or Robyn, but it's not too close. Rocky is another shade that is bright yet subdue. It is light and cheerful, but at the same time it is dusty and almost grayed a bit.

Altogether, I really like this collection! Like I said, I'm a big fan of cremes, so I figured I would love them no matter what. The colors are very nice though - I love how they're bright and summery, but very wearable unlike some neons. I like the variety and how even the two shades of pink are very different from each other.

As for the formula, it was good, but not great. Any streaks sort of worked themselves out, and the polishes turned out very smooth as they dried - all of these swatches are with no topcoat. Though, I had to use three coats for each color. Two made them pretty opaque, but there were still some thin spots or minor streaks. Three coats did the trick!

The Stunning Collection is available now from! The polishes are $8.00 or $48.00 for the entire set of six.

  1. I really dislike ordering online, but honestly I've seen so many amazing Zoya Polishes lately that I'm really tempted to just suck it up and do it. ALL of these polishes are absolutely gorgeous! When I was actually getting Birchbox, I got a mini Zoya and it wasn't the greatest quality so it turned me off. But after seeing these swatches, I think I might have to bite the bullet and do it!

I would love to hear your feedback!
