Flip Flop February - Glitter Bomb

I really didn't know what to do for today's challenge! I love glitter, and I have plenty of it, but I just couldn't decide which one I wanted to build up and just go wild with. So I didn't use just one, I used a set of five that I've been wanting to try out!

I've been trying out a lot of Claire's polishes recently. I never really had any, but I bought quite a few that caught my eye while they were on sale. I'm glad I did! Their polishes aren't perfect, but I think they're still worth it. They have some nice colors and their glitters are really fun.

I had gotten this set of five minis called Precious Metals. They're all clear bases with glitter, so they're all glitter topcoats. I tried to put them in color order, so I could get sort of a rainbow or an ombre going with them, but they're a bit too random for that I found.

I used Pure Ice Silver Mercedes for a base since it's shiny, and I thought it would be good to fill in in between the glitter that way. I applied three coats of each Claire's Precious Metals polish, dabbing it on instead of brushing it on. None of them have names that I know of though, so I'm just going to refer to them by color.

I really like the two on the index and middle fingers. The pink and blue combination is really pretty, and it's not just hex glitter - it also has squares and some finer glitter mixed in. I couldn't really tell just from looking at the bottle! I also like the pink, blue, and green glitter. All of the hexes are the same size and shape, which also goes for the other three.

The other three polishes are alright. I'm not a huge fan of purple, and as you can see on the thumb,  it's just one kind of purple glitter. The silver one is similar since the glitter is all the same, but it's very holographic. The black and silver one is a bit more interesting, but for some reason, the black + holographic silver just isn't as exciting to me as black and white.

Still, I like these polishes! The set is $10 full price, so about $2 per mini, but I got it on sale for $5, so I guess it's great for $1 each! I'll have to try them again sometime.

Check out these other bloggers participating as well!
