Pretty & Polished - Hameau

I have yet another gorgeous Pretty & Polished to share with you! As you all know, I love her polishes, so it's no surprise that I have plenty of her pretties. For today's, I have Hameau from her new Marie Antoinette-themed collection, Save the Dauphine. I love the play on words since Marie Antoinette was Dauphine of France!

I'm always a sucker for creamy polishes with glitter, and this was no exception. Hameau is somewhat of a creme jelly, a "crelly" if you will. It is pretty opaque, but still sheer at the same time. I used three coats for these photos, but two also looked great.

The color isn't white like I initially thought it was going to be. Instead, it is a creamy light nude color with a bit of shimmer. It is filled with medium purple hexes, along with smaller green hexes. At first I thought Hameau was going to be a little too "Mardi Gras" with the colors, but I think it would be great for whenever! I love it.

Hameau is supposed to represent the cottage built by Marie Antoinette. It is the neutral color of the cottage itself, but also resembles the surrounding greenery and flowers. I think it's a great fit!

Application of Hameau was really smooth. It has just the right amount of glitter. It doesn't have too little, forcing you to apply copious amounts of it. But it also doesn't have too much, making it thick and difficult to apply. It applied wonderfully, and I got enough glitter without even trying. I used three coats, but two would have also worked. I topped it with one coat of Seche Vite, and it came out almost perfectly smooth.

The Save the Dauphine collection is schedule to be released on January 16th. You will be able to purchase Hameau from Pretty & Polished's online store for $9.00 each. There are others in the collection as well, and I think I might need to grab them too!
