Thanksgiving Nail Art Challenge - Brown & Orange

Day three! Over halfway through now, and much closer to Thanksgiving. Today's theme is brown & orange, so while it is a little vague, it leaves for a lot of creativity! I figured I hadn't done a water marble in a while, so I went ahead and did one.

I fought with a few polishes at first to see which ones would take on the water or not, but I found a few that worked out! I started off by painting one coat of Zoya Arizona on and then put the water marble on each nail over that to help make it opaque.

I used Zoya Arizona for my base, but then marbled together Sinful Colors Nirvana and Chirality Just Before Dawn. I then took a darker brown, Revlon Too Hot for Chocolate, and dotted some dots, along with some more in Arizona to contrast it.

I topped it all off with a coat of Out the Door. Luckily, it didn't smear any of the dark spots, so I'm very happy! They almost look black in the photos, but they are just a very dark brown compared to Nirvana. Also Just Before Dawn is a holographic orange-red polish, but not too much of the holographic-ness shows after marbling with it.

In general, I'm super stoked with how this turned out! I always love seeing water marbles, so I should really do them more often. I love how the dots worked out as well. Using four different colors really makes it look complete, and they're just perfect for fall and Thanksgiving!

Now I won't want to take this one off for tomorrow's challenge either!
