Nail Art - Rainbow Rhinestones on White

I've been seeing a trend recently on Pinterest and on other blogs that I've been dying to try - rainbow rhinestones. Typically I've been seeing them on black, or matte black, but I wasn't really feeling the black vibe with it being summer and all. I'll have plenty of time for my dark polishes when fall arrives - especially Halloween!

So, I did rainbow rhinestones on white polish instead. I used a simple one: Wet n Wild's French White Creme. I used two coats, but applied the second coat on one nail at a time. I did this so that I could place the rhinestones in the wet nail polish on each nail before they dried.

I got tons of rhinestones on eBay. I recently featured some in my giveaway, so maybe the winners can have some inspiration with this manicure! I haven't done anything with the rhinestones I bought until now, so I'm really excited to have finally gotten to use them.

I'm incredibly happy with how this turned out. I placed the rhinestones individually, beginning with red on each nail tip. Since my nails are different lengths (pinky is much smaller than my middle!) some have more than others, but I thought they would look more uniform and flow nicer if they all matched at the tip instead of at the cuticle.

As for placing each rhinestone, I used pointed tweezers. It was a lot easier than I had anticipated! I didn't apply a top coat (no Seche Vite this time) so the polish took a while to dry though. As you can see, I managed to mess up a spot on my middle finger while taking photos! Ah well, they still look great!

    1. I bought entire bags of rhinestones on eBay and filled my own empty wheels. I have a box of like 50 wheels now! They're deeper and larger than most wheels, so they hold a lot too. If shipping wasn't so much, I would sell them on Copious or something!

    2. Awesome! How much did you end up spending on all those? lol I just discovered Copious and used up my sign-up and bonus moneys - A really nice rhinestone set is something I definitely would have bought.

    3. Each bag was like $5 or so, 13 different colors. Then empty wheels are like 50 cents each. So I spent quite a bit, but each bag has like over 10,000 rhinestones in it lol. I didn't count when filling them, I just used a 1/8 teaspoon measuring spoon and filled each spot. To do my whole hand like this, I can't even tell I used any, so there are a lot in each one!

Maybe I should list some on Copious and see if they sell? I'm not sure for how much since shipping + tracking can be like $2. I don't have a shop for polish yet, so I don't know where else to sell! I only gave away a couple in the last giveaway and one to a friend in person so far :)
