This month's theme is "Endless Summer." The bag is made of orange plastic mesh with a pink zipper. It's really cute and unique! I'm not really sure what to use it for yet, but I may have to start stashing some of my nail supplies in these bags.
The products inside from left to right are: Circus Nailcolor, Demeter Roll on Perfume Oil, Salty eyeshadow, Eclos Cellular Activator Facial Serum, Eclos Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream, and underneath is the MyGlam Glam Gloss.
Naturally I went for the nailcolor first.
Circus by Andrea's Choice nailcolor - Spectacle
The color polish I got is called Spectacle. It is indeed a spectacle with how bright it is! The polish is a neon orange color, and although I have tried neon orange polishes by Spoiled and KleanColor, I was excited to try this one. Like most neon polishes, it's a little thin. It would probably work best over a layer of white polish, but I tried it alone to test it out. I applied three coats, and got relatively good coverage. My nails are stained a little blue still, and it even covered that up. You can barely see through it, so I'm impressed. Also like other neon polishes, it dries somewhat matte, so I topped it with a coat of Seche Vite to make it glossy and smooth.
Demeter Roll on Perfume Oil
I typically use spray on perfumes and body sprays, so I was drawn to this product next. The perfume oil is in a cute little container with a roller ball that works smoothly. For being fragrance oil and not an alcohol based spray, it still gets absorbed quickly. Wherever I applied it on my skin was smooth and dry to the touch soon after application. I find it sort of odd though that while it has a scent, the name isn't too obvious. I had to be told that the name of the scent is "clean skin" - I'm so silly! The scent is fresh and it smells somewhat like baby powder with a hint of flowers. It's a nice scent, but I prefer more obvious floral scents like Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom body spray.
Eclos Plant-based Beauty - Cellular Activator Serum and Moisture Therapy Regenerative Cream
Both of these products also intrigued me. They claim to use "the breakthrough technology of Plant Stem Cell research" to "awaken dormant skin stem cells." It certainly sounds promising, so I gave it a go. I applied the Cellular Activator Serum first to clean skin. The serum goes on smoothly and dries quickly, but has an odd scent. It smells almost like dried seaweed, which isn't the greatest scent, but it doesn't linger for too long, especially after applying the Moisture Therapy Cream over it. The moisture cream has a fresher scent to it, and has almost a hint of ginger to it. Considering both are made from plants, perhaps they actually do incorporate seaweed or ginger. While they claim to have anti-aging properties, I haven't noticed much yet, although they are lightweight and do moisturize very well - they left my skin feeling great.
Salty Cosmetics eyeshadow in Glama-ZOID!
I've never tried Salty cosmetics until now, but I love loose mineral eyeshadow. The eyeshadow comes in a tiny pot with sifter, and the Glama-ZOID! color is white with a pink opalescent sheen to it. It is very shimmery, and it's a gorgeous color, but I'm not really sure how to wear it yet. I'm pretty fair-skinned, so it won't show up on me too well alone - I'll probably use it mostly as a highlighter or accent color instead of just alone. I applied quite a bit to my forearm in the image to the right to swatch it. The light really catches some pinkish flecks in person.
MyGlam Glam Gloss
This Glam Gloss is the bonus item in this month's bag. My camera makes it out to be a bit more on the orange or coral side than it is in person - it's very pink! Inside it has a sponge applicator, and it smells almost like watermelon scented lip gloss usually does. It has a number "01" on the bottom, so I'm not sure if they made other shades or if everybody received this same one. Still, it's a pretty color, and there's really no way you can go wrong with this one! It's a little sheer, but it's super shiny and glossy, and I'll be putting it to good use. I took a couple photos of it swatched on my hand to see both the color and how glossy it is in the light.
Once again, I'm very pleased with the contents of my MyGlam bag. I will certainly continue to stay subscribed! If you would like to subscribe, check out the MyGlam website.
