I was surprised when I opened the pink bubble mailer to see this pouch inside. It's a sheer mesh sort of makeup pouch, but I love the bright pink with rainbow ribbon accents. I'm not sure what the theme for the month is, but the card looks like a postcard and says "Greetings from MyGlam 'The land of beauty'" on it.
As for products, I enjoy what's inside the bag although not much is direct makeup. From left to right, the products are: Circus nail polish, Nume conditioner, Buxom lip polish, Juice Beauty moisturizer, and Yes To facial towelettes. Here are the details and my experience with each item:
The Circus nail color comes packaged in a cute plastic tube. The color I received is Somersault, a nice and bright shade of yellow. I had never used Circus nail polish before this, so I'm glad I got to try it out being the lacquer addict I am. I applied three thin coats for these photos with no base coat, but I did top it with Seche Vite. Two layers almost brought it to full opacity, but it still did well for being a light color. Application was easy as it wasn't too thick or thin, but it didn't really have much of a gloss finish on its own when it dried.
Nume HydroPunch Hydrating Conditioner
This is such a tiny tube for the amount of hair I have, but it was enough to try it out and review it. I used my normal shampoo before using it (currently Bath & Body Works), and then applied it as I normally would in the shower directly after shampooing. It has a very nice scent to it which is almost like perfume or cologne - a nice change from the usual fruit or generic fresh salon scent. My hair didn't feel weighed down by it, and it also felt incredibly soft. At its full price ($24.99 on the Nume website) I might not be buying tons of it in the future though.
Juice Beauty Green Apple SPF 15 Moisturizer
I'm always willing to try new moisturizers, especially facial ones with my combination skin. I got a little excited over this one because I love anything green apple, but it wasn't terribly special. It's not a super lightweight moisturizer since it is also SPF 15, so it feels thicker like sunscreen. As for moisturizing, my face did feel hydrated and soft after using it, but I personally prefer something a little lighter for regular use. At least the SPF benefits are an added bonus, and it is also organic.
Yes To Cucumbers On-The-Go Facial Towelettes
I absolutely love makeup wipes, so I gave these a go almost immediately. These Yes To ones are hypoallergenic and smell like fresh, crisp cucumber - a scent I love. There are 10 towelettes in this package and they're quite large. I didn't measure them, but they're 6x6 inches or larger, which is a little overkill to me. What I do is cut wipes like these in half to stretch them a little further since they can be a little pricey sometimes. They removed my makeup easily and left my skin feeling fresh afterward with no rinsing necessary. I think I may have to pick up some more of these!
It seems just about every MyGlam bag has some form of lip product in it. My collection is rapidly growing, but at least everything is different so far. I received this lip gloss in a shade called Leslie. It's a pretty neutral shade that's a coppery-pink color. It's very shimmery, and feels very minty fresh when I apply it to my lips. The color is visible on my fair skin, but it just adds a nice shimmery gloss on my lips. It's a little more pink in person than in my photos, but the color is very versatile.
In the end, I'm once again pretty pleased with the items I received. They're nothing incredibly amazing, but also nothing I dislike. I enjoy the Circus nail polish (I was looking for a new yellow!) and the Yes To facial wipes the most.
I know some other MyGlam subscribers may receive some different items such as an oil-free facial lotion or lip & cheek stain, which I would have loved to try. Do you subscribe to MyGlam? If so, did you receive any items that you love?
