I have a very awesome polish today: Sugar Rush by Candy Lacquer.
I made my first purchase from Candy Lacquer's Etsy shop, and this was one of the polishes I got. I also bought a couple others, but I'll leave those to be a surprise until I post about them! Or I'll at least post some teaser nail mail pictures first.
As far as the polish goes, Sugar Rush is filled with glitter. It has lots of large, colorful matte pieces, but also plenty of superfine metallic glitters to fill in the gaps. It has pink and blue squares, white and orange hexes, blue bars and more - it really has a bit of everything!
I applied one generous coat of Sugar Rush over Circus Somersault (from my July MyGlam bag) to dress it up a bit. I really like how it turned out over yellow since it allows just about every color of glitter inside to show up. I then topped it with one coat of Seche Vite.
Also, no glitter manipulation was required! I applied this single coat, and while it was rather thick, it did cover my nail with glitter pretty evenly. I actually like how some nails got more bars while others got more squares. It adds to the random confetti look of it, but if you want a more streamlined look, I'm sure you could achieve it with two coats on each nail instead.
Candy Lacquer's polishes currently sell for $8.00 on Etsy, which is great for indies! They arrived very quickly, and the shop owner is very kind. Feel free to check out Candy Lacquer on Facebook for updates and more.
