Something that I was not expecting when I went was the amount of products that each blogger got to bring home, thanks to several sponsors. One of the biggest sponsors was Milani. I got so much great stuff to try from them, including these Crystal Glosses.
Here are the crystal glosses in their sealed-up glory. They're pretty tiny, and are just over three inches long each. They're such a cute, convenient little size - perfect for your purse. The gold tops screw off, and they have an application stick with sponge on the end. They aren't squeeze tubes, if you're unfamiliar!
From left to right, the shades are:
- Cotton Candy
- Fruit Punch
- Raspberry Icing
- Sheer Dark Honey
Here they are swatched on my arm, in the same order. Since it's my arm, I apologize for the texture - it's all the tiny hairs! But as you can see, they're actually not entirely too bold. I have a very fair skin tone, so I suppose the Fruit Punch and Raspberry Icing ones are a little bright, but the Fruit Punch one is my favorite!
Here they are swatched in the same order, but on white paper. The clear one just sort of got soaked up (far left), but you can see that they cover very well, and can really see that some are more shimmery than others. Also, the Sheer Dark Honey one is probably the sheerest, but isn't nearly as dark as it appears in the container. The rest are pretty true to their color both in and out of the container.
I did apply some to my lips, but swatched on my arm for a side-by-side comparison of them. The coverage is nice on my lips, but like most glosses (as opposed to lip sticks), they're not super bold. It's a nice balance. I actually really like this since I'm a little self-conscious with lips that are too bright! (But that's easy to do since I'm so pale). Still, I really like these glosses, as they apply well and come in very nice, wearable colors. Application is smooth, and they aren't super gloopy and messy.
These products were provided by Milani for review. As always, I only offer my honest opinion.
