In other news, I have another Milani review. I was so overwhelmed with the amount of makeup that Milani gave the attendees of the Central Florida Beauty Blogger meetup that I barely noticed the nail polish inside! I guess I'm used to seeing lots of polish, but not lots of makeup.
I wanted to do my nails today, but didn't really know what to put on, so I grabbed a couple of these Milani ones and went for it. The two that caught my eye were Chocolate Sprinkles (left) and Fuchsia Fierce (right). Chocolate Sprinkles is a dark brown color packed with very fine glitter for a shimmery sparkle. Fuchsia Fierce is a bright reddish tone, with a hint of pink.
All nails have two coats of polish, along with one generous coat of Seche Vite. Being a darker polish, Chocolate Sprinkles covered very easily in two coats - one almost did it. The down side to it being a little thick (most likely due to it being packed with fine glitter) is that it is a little more difficult to apply. It wasn't streaky, but a few drops of thinner probably wouldn't hurt. On the other hand (not literally!), for a lighter polish, Fuchsia Fierce covered very well in two coats, and I didn't even use very thick coats.
I tend to have a problem with some bright reddish polishes like this being a little on the sheer side where I can still see the "white" of the tip of my nail. I suppose a white basecoat would help solve this problem though! However, this polish didn't really have that problem. As I said, two coats was impressive!
Bottom line: I really like both of these polishes! The Fuchsia Fierce color is a bit bright, so that's why I used it as an accent nail. While I'm really pale and it just looks crazy on me, I still love it, and I know bright colors are very popular right now! I also like the formula, despite Chocolate Sprinkles being a tad on the thick side, but the coverage is great. I can't wait to try more Milani polishes!
These polishes were provided by Milani for review. As always, I only offer my honest opinion.
