Deborah Lippmann - Footloose

As promised, I'm going to swatch and review each Deborah Lippmann polish that I got from HSN. The first one I've used is a reddish one called Footloose from the Footloose collection.
The color footloose is a pretty bright red. It appears to be a dark coral in these photos, but it's definitely reddish! Although it may indeed fall somewhere in between red and coral. Still, it's one of the more difficult shades to capture with a camera.

I have never owned a DL before, so it was fun for me to play with application. I wasn't all too surprised given the pricetag that these tend to carry, but application was very smooth. I applied 3 very thin coats in these images, so you can see that it's still barely translucent enough to see the actual white of my nail underneath. Then again, three of my coats may be two from someone who's a little more generous with polish application!

I was also able to apply the coats of polish pretty close together, meaning that I didn't wait very long in between them. It didn't get thick and messy, and with a coat of Seche Vite, they were dry even faster! Absolutely no streaks, and each layer was perfect.

Verdict: All in all, I think this is a great product. I'm still not sure I would pay $15 for a single bottle of polish, but to each their own! I do enjoy the polish though, and for my $5 HSN price, it really can't be beat.
Bottom line: Yes I would recommend this.
