Day 22: Inspired by a Song

Today's theme: inspired by a song. This was hard one! I couldn't decide on a song because I like too many, and I wasn't feeling particularly "inspired" by any. But recently I've been listening to Pandora a lot, and one song in particular has been playing a lot recently.

And that song is: "Paint It Black" by The Rolling Stones. The song immediately starts with lyrics saying "I see a red door and I want it painted black; No colors anymore I want them to turn black."

I really like the red door part every time I listen to the song. I'm not sure why, but it just sort of stands out to me - so I did a red door accent nail! As far as everything turning black, I tried to make it look like black paint was dripping down, slowly covering the color.

But still, I tried! And I sort of like how my mani turned out, whether my pictures can express it or not. I used a dotting tool to try and make the drips, and the door knob on the door.

Colors used:
  • KleanColor - Red Alert
  • Wet n Wild -Black Creme
  • KleanColor - Neon Yellow
  • Cherimoya - Charcoal
