So I did just that! I went with my favorite minty nail polish, and decided to choose some colors to go along with it. My direct inspiration for the design came from an image I had seen on Pinterest:
The image consists mostly of a minty color that's more on the blue side than my polish, but I still consider them both to be mint. I really liked the straight white edges and the blue circular decorative plates, so I wanted to try and incorporate that in my design.
I made straight white lines, and then dotted with a couple different colors for the circles. It's hard to tell in my photos since it isn't exactly sunny right now, but some of the dots are different.
Colors used (left to right):
- Essie - School of Hard Rocks
- Revlon - Minted
- Revlon - Fashionista
- Cherimoya - White
I had a pretty fun time doing it, as usual. The design was perfect until I applied the topcoat, of course. I always wait for dots to dry a bit before applying a topcoat so that it doesn't bleed or smear, but it did on my pointer finger a little anyway.
