Day 18: Half Moons

Half moon day, another thing that I have never attempted before! Good thing I picked up some reinforcement labels from the office supply store a few weeks ago. I got them to make clean lines for tips and other art, but now I could finally use them for half moons!

I was in a green mood today, so I grabbed a couple shades of green to use. I made light green half moons on each nail, and then reversed it for the accent nail.

This was another mani that went surprisingly well. I guess it's pretty hard to mess up when you have tape to guide you and make your lines for you! I first applied the light green to each nail (except the accent nail), and then put the reinforcement labels on. Then I applied the dark green, and removed the labels carefully. They're pretty sticky, but one only messed up the pinkie a tiny bit!

Here is my arsenal. I used the reinforcement labels made by Avery. I got them at Office Max I think, but I'm sure any office supply store carries them, or probably even Target, Walmart, etc.

I used two Ulta polishes for my colors:
  • Ulta - Limelight
  • Ulta - The Jungle Look

All in all, I'm happy with it! I'm wondering how it would look with neons or black and white now, reversing just one nail again. Or I wonder what it would be like if you did a half moon and a French at the same time. I imagine it'd look pretty stripey unless you have pretty long nails, but I suppose it's worth a shot to try it at least once!
