Day 13: Animal Print

Animal print day! I've been looking forward to this challenge. I really don't know how to describe my love for animal print. I do not really own anything that is animal print. I love zebra print, but I'm not sure I'd ever be able to pull off zebra heels or a handbag! I figured the black and white contrast would be a bit crazy, so I went for more of a tiger pattern.

It's funny how this pattern came around though. I got this huge stamping plate on Amazon quite a while ago, but never actually used it! I was looking at it and saw that there are a couple striped animal patterns. So I decided to go for it.

Big fail. I initially tried using Wet n Wild Black Creme to stamp. While it actually does go on the stamper well and then onto the nail, it dries so quick that it was completely dry before I could put it on the stamper the first time! And I was working quick.

So I gave up with the stamping. It was working okay, but lining it up perfectly wasn't going so well. So I did it on a couple nails, and then free-handed and filled in where it left off. Can you tell which fingers I stamped, which ones are half/half, and which ones I free-handed completely?

Well I did the pinky, ring finger, and thumb with the stamp. The thumb looks major fail! But the ring finger and pinky were covered quite a bit, but then I filled in the rest. Then I completely free-handed the middle and index fingers with a black nail art polish. I'm so proud of them!

In the end, I think it's a success! I'll definitely have to practice stamping. I wish the stampers were clear so I could tell where the design is going better!

• Wet n Wild - Black Creme (the really fast drying one, apparently!) 
• Topped with Seche Vite as always!
