Day 10: Gradient Nails

Something I was scared to do - gradient nails! I have never attempted to do a gradient before, so I figured doing it for the challenge was the way to learn.

I decided to go with blue, since I have quite a few blue polishes. I tried to pick colors that were similar enough to blend into each other well, but I didn't want colors that were too close.

As for the actual colors:

• Ulta - Mint Condition
• Ulta - Blue Streak (always reminds me of the old Sonic cartoon intro song) 
• Revlon - Fashionista
• Zoya - Maisie

I started with a coat of Mint Condition (it's very blue, but looks more minty here). Then I put Blue Streak on a makeup sponge and dabbed it on. After that, I put Fashionista on the same sponge, and dabbed it just around the tip of each nail. I topped it all with Maisie!

For my first attempt at a sponge gradient, I think it went alright. It's a bit subtle, so maybe I'll have to choose some colors that are a bit different from each other next time.
